Here are just some of the features you'll be be getting with the new and improved e-Statements + e-Notices: Improved security. Now e-Statements are even more secure than ever before. We've added new layers of safety which will ensure that your sensitive financial data is protected from criminals and hackers. As part of the upgrade in security, you will be asked to revalidate your email address and access your e-Statement from within online banking. By the way, studies have shown that e-Statements are much safer than paper statements, which can easily be stolen or lost in the mail. Historical statements that go back in time. Waaaay back! You need to find that account statement for June, 1993? Now, you can! And you won't have to go through a dozen shoeboxes full of dusty old statements to find it! Bounced check and overdraft notices - instantly! Remember back in the "old days," when an NSF (Non-sufficient Funds) notice would get "snail-mailed" to you, which might take a few days? In the meantime, you were still writing checks... and each of those checks would bounce too, costing you lots and lots of money in the form of NSF or OD fees. (Ouch!)
