Here's What's New at TCCU:
E-Statements Are Now Online!
TCCU membersmay now opt to receive e-statements in lieu of paper statements! This helps to keep your personal information from falling into the hands of mail thieves and cuts your clutter and document storage worries. Enrollment is quick and easy, and can be done entirely online. The start getting e-statements right away, simply log in to CU@Home Online Banking and click on the "Statements" button at the top of your screen.
Effective Immediately, Stop Payment Fees are $25
TCCU's stop payment fee has been changed to $25 to align it correctly with the NSF and ODP fee.
Nonsufficient Funds NSF and Overdraft Privilege (ODP) Fee Change
Effective June 1, 2006, TCCU's nonsufficient funds and overdraft privilege fees will change to $25.00 for each NSF check. This decision by our democratically elected board was not an easy one. Rising prices and changing market conditions have made this, our first increase in NSF fees in 15 years, absolutely necessary to stay competitive, remain financially sound, and offer the best services to our members.
A survey of other financial institutions in the region reveals that the average ODP/NSF fee charged is $30 to $32. In comparison, TCCU is well below the regional and national averages. We always strive to offer our membership the best possible financial services at the lowest possible cost.
As informed consumers, you can limit the impact that this change will have upon your finances with sound checking practices. Always know your account balance by keeping an accurate register, using Access-24 or CU@Home, and balancing your checkbook regularly. For more information, please call 851-4000.
Overdraft Privilege Now Available at the ATM!
You asked for it, and we delivered! Our members overwhelmingly wanted to be able to access their Overdraft Privilege (ODP) limit at both the ATM and at retail point of sale (POS) locations, and we have made it happen. Qualifying members will now be able to use their ODP to access cash at ATMs or to make purchases at merchants which accept PIN-based transactions using your ATM or debit card. Balance inquiries will show the actual balance, as well as the available balance, which will include the available ODP limit. To avoid unintended ODP fees, please be sure to check your balance before making an ATM withdrawal.
EZ Pay is now FREE!*
Exciting news for our members who are now using or considering using TCCU EZ Pay online bill pay system! We recognize that our EZ Pay users are our most loyal members who utilize more credit union services and manage their accounts better than any other segment of our membership. Therefore, as our way of saying "Thank You," TCCU is making EZ Pay FREE to members with direct deposit, Visa Debit Card, or any TCCU credit card! For the few EZ Pay users who do not currently have one of these three services, we encourage you to see a Member Services Representative today to get enrolled in one or all of them in order to continue getting EZ pay for free! Direct deposit and the Visa Debit Card are 100% free themselves, and all TCCU credit cards are free of any annual fees. Our goal is to give EZ Pay to every user for free, so get enrolled today!
TCCU Offers Youth Certificate of Deposit!
We now offer a certificate of deposit for youths under the age of 18! The Youth CD has a minimum deposit of just $500, and must be associated with a youth share savings account which is listed under the youth's name and social security number. The rates, terms, and penalties are otherwise identical to our posted CD rates. Please see a Member Services Representative for more details.
